Private Catamaran in Cancun and Isla Mujeres: Compare Luxury Charter Options

Searching for a private catamaran in Cancun is different from choosing a shared excursion. Start by confirming whether your quote covers a vessel reserved for your group or places on a shared departure. Then compare the actual boat, departure marina, included guest allowance and route. “Luxury” should describe specific features and service you can verify, rather than a label alone.

Compare cabins, service and guest allowances

The Riviera Maya Concierge lists private catamarans with different layouts and packages. Fixer Catamaran is a Leopard 45 with four cabins and four bathrooms in its published description. Other options include Lagoon vessels and larger group boats. Cabin access, amenities, catering and the services included in a day charter should be confirmed individually. A larger advertised capacity may require extra-passenger charges beyond the base allowance.

Cancun, Isla Mujeres or another departure?

Do not choose an itinerary without checking the marina. A Cancun departure may be considered for an Isla Mujeres or Playa Norte request when the hours and navigation conditions allow it. A Puerto Aventuras vessel serves a different area and should not be assumed to offer the same Cancun itinerary. Cozumel options also have their own departures and packages. Confirm the route and whether any requested stops are actually included before paying.

What makes the quote comparable

Ask for the currency, total hours, number of included guests, dock fees, crew and drinks or food provided. Check snorkeling equipment, sound system and any requested onboard arrangements against the chosen boat’s actual listing. Some packages include more food or bar service than others. Crew gratuities are separate and optional. Overnight use, extra hours and special catering should be quoted separately when available, rather than assumed to be part of a day charter.

Families, celebrations and private groups

Tell your concierge whether the trip is a family outing, bachelorette celebration, birthday or company gathering. Group size, preferred atmosphere, shade, bathrooms and boarding needs help narrow the choice. Children need adult supervision at all times. Larger events may require a different vessel and a minimum group package; capacity alone does not establish price or suitability.

Reserve with clear conditions

Send your preferred date, number of guests, hotel or departure area, desired hours and route request. Availability is checked before payment. Standard terms request a 30% initial payment, with transfer balances due 48 hours before the trip or a cash balance at boarding. Cancellation penalties and change rules depend on the vessel. Official port closures allow rebooking or a full refund when the experience cannot operate. Read the full FAQ and the final written quote before confirming.
